We are providing two years diploma in ELEMENTRY EDUCATION ( .) course (in place of Teacher’s Certificate (C.T) examination to our Pupil Teachers. It may be noted here that the curriculum has been revised, remodeled and renamed in the light of the National Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education -2009 formulated by N.C.E.R.T, New Delhi and on the recommendation of T.E. & SCERT, Govt. Odisha, Bhubaneswar.

During these two years, trainees come across twelve courses. Out of these six are Foundation Courses (FC) and other six are Pedagogy Courses (PC). Each subject is of 100 marks. (20% is internal & 80% is external). Besides theory papers, trainees have 41 practice teaching classes, work-based activities, school-based activities and also, a project on action research papers.
It is a co-educational institution having an intake capacity of 100 students in per year. We have hostel facilities for both Boys and Girls.
Our students are very active in co-curricular and social activities. In the year 2014 a BLOOD DONATION camp was also organized in our institute under the banner of Sambad. Most of our students (both Boys & Girls) donated blood in this camp.
Besides regular classes, we also conduct DEP classes for in-service untrained teachers working in Primary schools in this district since 2009-10.
