Principal’s Message

“Literacy in itself is no education. Literacy is not the end of education or even the beginning. By education, I mean an all-round drawing out of the best in the child and man-body, mind and spirit.”- Mahatma Gandhi

The District Institute of Education and Training endeavours to create excellent teachers for society. Research shows that an inspiring and informed teacher is the most important school-related factor influencing students’ achievements. So it is necessary to pay close attention to how we train or support both new and young educators. In DIET, we groom young aspiring teachers not only for their subjective teaching but for their lives too. They are prepared for the challenges of the 21st Century classrooms.

I am honored to be a part of this institute that envisions teacher education from a holistic view. Let’s join hands for this sacred task of creating young dynamic teachers of the future.
