According to Kothari commission, a teacher who unlike an ordinary worker, acts as a master, crafts man, an artist, a strategist and a powerful motivator. The environs of a classroom are enlivened by the inspiring, dynamic, enthusiastic, encouraging, skillful and dedicated teacher. It is he who shapes the destiny of students and that of the future citizens who eventually shape the destiny of the country. In order to develop a humane teacher an effective teacher training is required.

Objectives:

  • Imparting knowledge in subject matter.
  • Equipping the teachers with necessary pedagogical skill.
  • Enabling teachers to understand child psychology.
  • Developing proper attitude towards teaching.
  • Enabling teachers to make proper use of instruction.
  • Enabling teachers to understand the significance of individual differences of child and take appropriate steps for their optimum development.

                                                                          Institutional Seminar

                                                                       Date: 2nd & 3rd   March, 2020

Two days institutional level seminar was organized on 2nd and 3rd march 2020 both for the  D.El.Ed and B.Ed programme . The theme of the seminar was “Innovative pedagogy for Effective Teaching Learning at Elementary Level.” The head of the institution Mr Naba Kishore Giri,Princial,DIET, Jajpur inaugurated the seminar. Mrs Nibedita Guru, Sr.TE introduced the key speakers of  the seminar .On 2nd march 2020, Dr Purna Chandra Brahma, Sr.TE, DIET,Baripada and Dr Prashant kumarRath,AssistantDirector,TE and SCERT , acted as the key speaker for the session  .  Dr Rath delivered his speech on the subtheme professional development and capacity building of teachers and Dr Brahma presented on overall theme of innovative pedagogy at elementary level. Fifteen D.El.Ed students presented paper on different subthemes. On 3rdMarch,Dr SrikantPaikray,Principal ,AATC,Anandapur, Kendujharwas the key  speaker delivered his speech  on the subtheme of Life skill Education. He described about the different critical situations of  life with examples and explained the applicability of life skill education in different situation .Dr Ramachandra Dhir,TE spoke on the sub theme  quality education .Seventeen  B.Ed  students presented paper on different subthemes .Out of the total presentation 4 best paper presenters (2 from D.El.Ed and 2 from B.Ed ) were praised for their tremendous paper presntation. MrChinmayaduttaPadhi  and Miss  Rukmini ojha from D.El.Ed and Mr Ashutosh Satpathy and Miss Jasmin Swain from B.Ed group were felicitated as best paper presenter. Miss Anita Behera,TE and Mrs ItishreeBiswal,TE and Miss Sasmita Rout ,TE  smoothly conducted the seminar. Mrs SmitashreeBiswal,TE presented a brief report of paper presented  in the two days seminar . All the staff members cooperated for smooth functioning of the seminar. Dr Purna Chandra Brahma highly appreciated the presentation of students and the way of paper writing Mr Naba Kishore Giri , felicitated the key speakers .At the end vote of thanks was given by the Mrs NilimapriyadarshiniDash,TE and Mrs Gitanjali Sethi,TE.
