The Govt. Elementary Teacher Education Institute, Tudigadia, Balasore is the Pioneering teacher training institute of Odisha in the filed of Pre-Service Teacher Education(PSTE) Programme. This Institute was established in 1949, initially named as Basic Training (B.T) course under Balasore District on the thoughts of Gandhian Philosophy. In its arduous long journey, It became Govt. Secondary Training School (STS) providing Certified Teacher (C.T.) course vide Govt. Order No – 2858-E/ dt. 05.02.1969, Govt. of Odisha and then it almost recognized by its rename Govt. ETEI after declaration by NCTE-2014. It holds an important place in the Global Training education Industry in Odisha with an excellent Academic track record. It is primarily the cradle of Local Saheed People in the history of a missionary spirit of achievement in the basic goal of improving the standard of teaching and Learning Practices for quality education. This institute is called after the name of “RAKTA TIRTHA TUDIGADIA” which observes to give Tribute the freedom fighters on 28^th September as SAHEED SMRUTI DIVAS.
