Co-curricular activities are important for several reasons. They can enhance a student’s academic development and performance. They can also help a student to build several important life skills in areas such as leadership, organization, confidence, and socialization.
Co-curricular activity means an activity or program that takes place outside of the traditional classroom but in some manner complements academic learning from classroom curriculum. These activities are ungraded and do not allow for academic credit to be earned; however, they provide many advantages to students academically and in skill development.
