Key Activity 2 – Teacher Professional Development

TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

 

 

This functions to integrate in-service training programmes with TPD; Develop the capacity of master trainers on content and pedagogy, research, ICT, planning and management.

Objectives:

The Teacher Professional Development (TPD) in DIET Khordha functions with the following objectives

  • To build up the capacities of Teachers, CRCCs and ABEOs with respect to competency (learning outcome), pedagogical processes and process based assessment.
  • To acquaint the teachers and CRCCs with the basics of computer programme for integration of ICT in their classroom processes
  • To exchange views and ideas of teachers, CRCCs, ABEOS and Teacher educators for quality enhancement of classroom activities
  • To develop materials in different content areas to achieve the level specific learning outcomes by the elementary level students
  • To give exposure to the teacher educators in best practices of DIETs of different states.
  • To extend the existing professional learning community functioning in DIET with the teacher educators by involving master resource persons to create a learning group.

Training Programme conducted on Collaborative Action Research from 18th September to 20th September 2019. Total 44 participants( teachers and  CRCCs) of the district covering all blocks attended the programme. Twenty action research project proposals were selected.
